Job Description

Experience in healthcare insurance payment posting preferred. The Accounts Receivable Data Entry Processor is responsible for entering all A/R receipts daily. The A/R poster will reconcile receipts with money in the bank, post to the correct patient accounts and print daily receipts report. Must have ability to accurately interpret, review, and post insurance payments and remittance advice (ERAs/EOBs). Knowledge of health insurance payment processing, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance and to work independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Arbuckle Memorial Hospital has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The tasks or duties assigned to this job could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.
Essential Functions:
The A/R data entry processor responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Check bank daily deposit transactions; write up daily money sheet and total all monies. Gather credit card receipts, clinic receipts, print remittance advices, print remittance advices for private pay. Post all credit card receipts and electronic remits. Run credit cards for insurance payments, collect all credit card receipts. Enter payments from payroll deduct on employee accounts. Make up a depository ticket for electronic remits and credit cards. Scan receipts with remittance advice. File all receipts.
