Summary:
The Loan Representative I supports the loan department by assisting with various administrative tasks related to loan processing and customer service.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Reviews and verifies the accuracy of loan files. Inputs loan information into the appropriate systems accurately and ensures that all information is complete and up-to-date. Responds to basic inquiries from customers, loan officers and other departments regarding loan applications and loan statuses. Maintains professionalism and a positive attitude while assisting customers. Organizes and maintains loan files and documentation in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements. Assists in generating loan reports as required by management. Updates and maintains required logs, timely and accurately. Performs general office tasks such as filing, scanning and copying documents. Communicates effectively with internal and external customers. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Participates in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills. Participates in and promotes teamwork with the department as well as bank-wide. Completes annual required training within communicated timeframes. Performs other duties as required or requested.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related field is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook). Ability to maintain confidentiality; handle sensitive information with discretion.
