The Consumer Loan Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end loan servicing process for Home Equity and consumer loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance and optimizing operational efficiency. This role involves loan processing, documentation, funding, servicing, regulatory adherence, and supporting loan officers and clients throughout the loan lifecycle.Essential Functions:
Review and process home equity and consumer loan applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lending policies. Coordinate loan closings, verify funding details, and ensure timely disbursement of loan proceeds. Ensure loans meet federal and state banking regulations, including Fair Lending, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML). Work closely with underwriters to verify applicant information and ensure loan approval criteria are met. Oversee loan modifications, payment adjustments, and account reconciliations. Prepare reports for internal audits, regulatory reviews, and management oversight. Process lien releases, title updates, and ensure proper documentation for secured loans. Identify opportunities to streamline loan operations and enhance workflow efficiency. Provide support and training to new team members on loan procedures and compliance requirements. Provide support in loan servicing by handling routine maintenance and processing servicing requests efficiently. Support the processing of loan payments and conduct research and resolution for non-posted transactions. Track and address incoming service inquiries from branches, client services assistant (CSAs), and bankers, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Support the post-closing process for mortgage and consumer loans, ensuring timely delivery of TPO loans to aggregators on the secondary market. Process all documents and items requiring follow-up for loan accounts, including but not limited to, insurance, recorded items, document exceptions, and closing conditions. Comply with government, regulatory, and Bank policies and procedures.Other Duties:
Perform additional duties as assigned to support loan operational needs and attain service goals as outlined in the service level agreement (SLA).Education and Experience:
Minimum of an associate s degree in finance, business administration, or related field required; bachelor s degree preferred. Minimum of three years of experience in consumer loan operations, banking, or financial services.Key Competencies:
