Position Summary:
Responsible for processing and booking indirect auto loans, disbursing funds to dealerships, and communicating with dealers to obtain any missing documentation or information. Processes direct consumer loan applications and works closely with members throughout the lending process by collecting required documents, preparing loan closing packages, and disbursing loan funds. Provides exceptional member service by educating borrowers on available lending products and services, ensuring a smooth and efficient loan experience. Reviews and processes loan applications, prepares loan documentation for closing, monitors loan queues for timely follow-up, and identifies opportunities to cross-sell additional loan and lending products that meet members' financial needs. Essential Functions Review and process approved loan applications by gathering information and working collaboratively with borrowers and underwriters to satisfy requirements and stipulations while providing professional and courteous service. Verify that loan files are complete and properly documented. Scan and electronically maintain records within the Credit Union's document management system. Prepare loan documents, coordinate closings with members and branch staff, and fund loans in accordance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and guidelines. Manage assigned loan queues, emails, and faxes, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate documentation of member contact, and efficient processing of pending loan requests. Educate members on available loan protection products, including credit life insurance, disability insurance, GAP coverage, and extended warranties, when appropriate. Cross-sell additional loan products to help meet members financial needs. Receive and review indirect loan funding packets, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. Process funding the same day, prior to established deadlines. Communicate with auto dealers and underwriters to resolve missing information or discrepancies. Process home equity loan and line applications by ordering property valuations, flood certifications, title work, and other required services through the MemberClose system. Prepare loan documents and coordinate closings and courtesy closings in a timely manner. File mortgages in Simplifile. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for home equity loans and lines, including preparing and delivering required disclosures and collecting supporting documentation. High School Diploma, lending or financial experience preferred; computer proficiency is required. Qualified candidate must be service and team-oriented, dependable and have exceptional communication skills.
