About the Firm This is one of the largest law firms in the Southeast, consistently ranked in the Am Law 200, with a national and global client base. The firm has been delivering strategic legal solutions for over seven decades. More than 400 attorneys and professionals cover 90+ areas of practice, representing Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, manufacturers, retailers, healthcare and technology companies, and individuals on significant transactions, complex legal matters, and high-stakes disputes. The firm's Financial Services practice is a genuine powerhouse: it consistently ranks in the top 25 nationally for leveraged finance deals and closed 185 syndicated loan transactions in a single recent year. The practice spans five specialized finance groups: securitization, renewable energy project finance, syndicated loans, public bond, and real estate finance. The Role The firm is seeking an experienced Transactional Lawyer to join its Financial Services practice, working across syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions. What You'll Do Join a team of dealmakers working on high-stakes financial transactions for blue-chip and global clients, with direct exposure to syndicated credit facilities, leveraged finance, and adjacent finance specialties across the firm's five finance groups. Candidate Requirements Must Haves Experience at an Am Law 200 firm Must be barred in North Carolina or South Carolina (for the hybrid Charlotte role) or Georgia (for remote candidates) Baseline Experience 1 to 7 years of experience in finance transactional law (preferred range: 3-7 years) Work experience with commercial lending Working knowledge of syndicated credit facilities Working knowledge of leveraged finance transactions Top 50 law school, or a strong regional law school in the Southeast Excellent academic performance Strong interpersonal skills Why This Role This is a chance to work inside one of the Southeast's most established finance practices, alongside a team handling top-25 leveraged finance volume, with real ownership on syndicated and leveraged deals rather than a supporting role. The firm has also recently invested in its business development leadership, adding a Chief Business Development Officer to support attorney growth, signaling continued investment in the practice's trajectory.
Pay:
$225,000.00 - $390,000.00 per year
