This role will serve as the company's in-house customs compliance expert, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Partner Government Agencies (PGA), and other applicable trade regulations while supporting customers, operations teams, and management. The ideal candidate will possess a valid U.S. Customs Broker License, strong knowledge of import regulations, and experience within the freight forwarding, NVOCC, customs brokerage, or logistics industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customs Brokerage & Compliance Act as the designated Licensed Customs Broker and company customs compliance resource. Oversee and manage customs clearance activities for ocean, air, truck, and rail import shipments. Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and applicable government agency requirements. Review and approve customs entries, classifications, valuations, duty assessments, and import documentation. Provide guidance on tariff classification, country of origin determination, valuation methodology, and admissibility requirements. Monitor and maintain compliance with CBP regulations, FDA, USDA, EPA, FCC, DOT, Fish & Wildlife, and other Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements. Assist with customs audits, focused assessments, prior disclosures, protests, and post-entry amendments. Maintain and update customs compliance procedures, SOPs, and internal controls. Monitor regulatory changes and communicate compliance updates to management and operational teams. Operational Support Work closely with Ocean Import, Air Import, Warehouse, and Transportation teams to ensure smooth cargo clearance and delivery. Review shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, arrival notices, and customs documentation. Resolve customs holds, examinations, inspections, and compliance issues. Provide import consulting support to customers regarding customs requirements, duty programs, and trade compliance matters. Assist sales teams with customs brokerage opportunities and client onboarding. Support implementation and management of ACE, ABI, and other customs-related systems. Training & Risk Management Train operations staff on customs regulations, import documentation requirements, and compliance procedures. Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits. Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions. Support CTPAT, Importer Security Filing (ISF), and trade compliance initiatives. Maintain records and documentation in accordance with CBP recordkeeping requirements. Qualifications Required Active U.S. Customs Broker License issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Minimum 3-5 years of customs brokerage experience.

Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Customs valuation Country of Origin requirements Free Trade Agreements (FTA) FDA, USDA, EPA, FCC, DOT, and PGA regulations ISF, CTPAT, and ACE programs Experience handling customs entries and regulatory compliance matters. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Experience in NVOCC, Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, or 3PL logistics environments. Experience with CargoWise One (CW1), ACE, ABI, or similar customs software. Supervisory or management experience. Knowledge of bonded warehouses, FTZ operations, and duty drawback programs. Mandarin Chinese language proficiency preferred.

$80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
