Job Description

AGG, an Am Law 200 firm with more than 200 attorneys, is seeking a mid-level associate with three to five years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience to join its growing International Trade practice in our Washington D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience with U.S. customs and import compliance laws. The associate will advise U.S. and multinational clients on a variety of customs matters, including tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and enforcement related matters. The associate will also have opportunities to work on export controls, economic sanctions, CFIUS, and related trade and national security matters. While experience in those areas is preferred, the firm welcomes candidates with a strong customs background who are interested in developing additional experience in export controls, sanctions, and CFIUS. Associates will work closely with experienced practitioners who provide hands-on mentoring and meaningful opportunities for increasing responsibility and client interaction. Ideal candidates are proactive self-starters who work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. To learn more and apply, please click here.
