Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Import Operator with 3+ years of freight forwarding/import operations experience (mandatory) to manage ocean import shipments from Asia and Europe.
Handle data entry/updates, bookings, document processing/review, arrival notices, shipment tracking, and delivery scheduling.
Coordinate with customers, overseas offices/agents, ocean carriers/intermodals, terminals, warehouses, brokers, truckers, and other logistics partners.
Monitor customs clearance, shipment status, and final-mile delivery; resolve delays and exceptions.
Provide proactive customer updates and status reports.
Apply Incoterms and understand basic accounting processes, including profit-sharing statements, debit notes, and credit notes.
Maintain accurate shipment files and ensure timely operational and financial completion.
Hands-on ocean import experience.
Knowledge of customs procedures, import documentation, Incoterms, and basic accounting.
Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
