Job Description

ALG Worldwide LLC is a privately held Asset-light Domestic and International Freight Forwarder with a new corporate office located in Little Canada, MN. ALG Worldwide is an industry leader in various specialized transportation services. For over three and a half decades, ALG Worldwide Logistics has been evolving to deliver the highest level of transportation & logistics services in the industry. We are looking to hire an Import/Export Specialist for our air and ocean customers. Responsibilities As an Export and Import Air and Ocean Solutions Expert typical daily tasks include coordinating directly with agents, freight handlers, air and ocean carriers, and inland transportation carriers to provide the best customer service support to our customers. This position requires the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Coordinate, book, track and trace, manage and provide reporting of international and domestic shipments as well as review documentation to prevent and eliminate errors.
  • Timely and accurate responses to our customers to include correspondence, updates, carrier mishandling, claims, investigations, problem resolution, and industry changes.
  • Work with vendors and agents to ensure successful completion of delivery service while identifying opportunities for freight cost reduction
  • Maintain relationships with customers
  • Assist sales with customer growth
  • Maintain positive relationships with local, national, and international agents and vendors
  • Support and assist sales in onboarding of new customers
Requirements and Expectations:
  • Export or import logistics experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work in a service and team environment
  • Ability to adapt to change and be flexible in a face paced industry
  • Positive approach when dealing with our vendors and customers
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines as well as prioritize, and multi-task
  • Pro-active demeanor, attention to detail and problem resolution skills
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision

$35,000.00
