Position Summary:
This position will coordinate with Broker/Forwarder all inbound International freight movements to the U.S. and Canada; review and maintain all relevant import files, logs, and Invoices to ensure compliance with all government agencies. Support Traffic Department in oversight of traffic related activities into the U.S. distribution center.
Job Responsibilities:
Process Freight Forwarder pre-alerts and SFI invoices from Italy for all incoming shipments to the U.S. and Canada. Receive/review Customs Entries for duty payments. Create/maintain all import files, Shipping log, and Shipment pre-alert Board. Primary contact between brokers/freight forwarders both US and Italian partners. Audit and approve all Broker bills. Create Pro-forma invoices for shipments being exported from U.S. Process direct shipments from Italy to Canada for customs clearance. Processing of Duty Free Customers Shipping. Duty Drawbacks Program. Review Customs Tariff for importing products. Prepare and processes all import documents and broker invoices and manage all contain shipments in coordination with freight carriers and customers. Maintain and update knowledge on all customs clearance process Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within a logistics/distribution function is required. Bachelor's Degree in Administration or Management preferred. Excellent communication skills are required, including both verbal and written presentational skills as well as good leadership qualities. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good analytical and problem solving skills are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. Physical requirements:
This position is onsite and involves constant moving, walking, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, sitting; may occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing step stools. May involve lifting of least 10-15 lbs. Regular and reliable attendance.
