The Senior Customs Special Programs Operations leader is responsible for governing, and executing US Customs special programs, with primary accountability for U.S. duty mitigation and duty drawback that drives operational excellence in alignment with GE Aerospace's priorities of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). This role manages key vendors and external partners that support special programs and customs payment processes.

  • Required Qualifications:
  • + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum 4 years of experience in customs trade compliance, or international trade with substantial experience in duty mitigation and US Customs special programs) + Minimum 5 years of experience in customs trade compliance, or international trade with substantial experience in duty mitigation and US Customs special programs.

  • + Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field + Professional certifications related to customs, trade compliance, or supply chain are a plus (e.
g., Certified Customs Specialist, CZS, AZS, LCB, licenses customs broker). + Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries. + Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. + Strong understanding of US customs duty rules and payment mechanisms + Effective communication and leadership skills. + Familiarity with GE Aerospace's lean operating model, manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, Standard Work, Hoshin Kanri).
