Job Description
An Ocean Import Coordinator is immediately required to join an established operations team working for a top freight forwarder in Dallas. This role will involve working in a lively and dynamic team dealing with customer's import and export shipments. You will be the main point of contact and dealing with all documentation throughout the process.
Essential Duties:
- Experience of Ocean Import procedures and documentation from start to finish.
- Pricing and Negotiation experience
- Act as the primary point of customer contact for assigned accounts
- Coordinate bookings from Importers and overseas offices to final destination
- Closely monitor & follow up on shipments
- Update the customer with shipment status
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes and recommend services based on customer needs
- Work closely with the Customs Broker to follow up on clearance
