Position Summary Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for managing the activities related to patient accounting, finance, and coding. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience (gradual increase into supervisory responsibility over a period of three (3) years can be substituted). Prior chargemaster experience. Coding certification by either AAPC or AHIMA. Ability to operate a computer, 10-key calculator, electronic typewriter and other office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of MGRMC staff and support personnel. Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form. An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management. Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance. Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job. Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds. Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of four (4) years hospital experience required, two (2) year hospital billing and two (2) year hospital coding. CPC-H certification.
