Chang's is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our Finance & Accounting leadership team. Reporting to the Vice President, Controller, this role will lead key areas of corporate accounting and financial reporting while helping strengthen the processes, controls, and systems that support our growing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished accounting leader who brings a strong foundation in corporate accounting, U.S.
GAAP, SEC
reporting, and team leadership and enjoys both leading people and remaining close to the work.
What You'll Do:
Lead the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting. Oversee key accounting areas including the general ledger, lease accounting, labor accounting, revenue accounting, and corporate G&A accounting . Lead account reconciliations, financial statement flux analysis, audit schedules, and other close-related activities. Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements , including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reporting. Partner with external auditors on quarterly and annual audit activities. Support the design and implementation of SOX-compliant internal controls and public-company reporting readiness. Partner with Investor Relations and other business leaders on quarterly and annual reporting requirements. Lead, develop, and provide direction to members of the accounting team. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, controls, and overall efficiency. Serve as a key accounting partner within our Workday Center of Excellence, helping drive enhancements to Finance and Accounting functionality and business processes. Partner across the organization on new accounting pronouncements, special projects, and evolving business needs.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA designation is required; active or inactive status is acceptable. At least 10 years of relevant accounting experience , including supervisory/leadership experience. Hands-on SEC reporting experience , including preparation of 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience managing multiple priorities and complex accounting deadlines. Strong judgment, analytical thinking, and a continuous-improvement mindset. The ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization. Experience with FloQast and/or BlackLine is preferred.
