at State of Delaware in Dover, Delaware, United States Job Description The Director of Accounting position ensures the provision of timely and accurate financial information to management and the public, including the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), the official audited financial statements of the State. The position leads the State's payroll compliance initiative ensuring statewide adherence to IRS code and other regulatory standards. The position oversees the financial portion of the State of Delaware Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system consisting of thirteen modules recording the assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenditures of state organizations. The position also works with the OneDelaware team currently modernizing the State's ERP system with a new system to be implemented in the next 3-4 years. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Director, Division of Accounting Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: 1. Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or related field. 2. Five years experience in financial reporting, general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable. 3.
