Job Description
Taylor University is seeking applications and nominations for distinguished candidates to teach in the Department of Business inAccounting. This is a tenure-track position beginning August 2027.? Duties andResponsibilities The successful candidate will teach a variety of accounting courses based on thecandidate's credentials and experience (e.g., Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Auditing, Accounting Analytics,Integrated Accounting Systems). The normal teaching load is 24 hours per academic year. Scholarly activity, professional service, studentadvising, faculty governance responsibilities, and chapel attendance are also expected. TypicalQualifications PhD or DBA in Accounting or a closely related field is preferred. A strong interest inundergraduate teaching is required, and previous teaching, and/or online course delivery are desired. Professional work experience andcredentials are also required. Candidates must have a personal, vibrant faith and Christian walk, and be strongly committed to theeducational mission and evangelical Christian orientation of the University. Supplemental Information About the Department The Business Department consists of 10 full-time faculty members and is an ACBSPaccredited program focused on preparing students for Kingdom Impact in business. The department offers majors in accounting,entrepreneurship and economic development, finance, management, marketing, and sport management, and both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor ofScience degrees. There are approximately 500 students enrolled, making business the largest major group on campus. All business majors havea practicum requirement, and the curriculum includes project and experiential learning components. The faculty enjoy a strong collegialrelationship and smaller classes that encourage student mentoring and discipleship.
