Compensation & Benefits Salary:

$130,000 – $150,000 (target range $140K–$150K)

Bonus:

Up to 5% (eligible beginning next fiscal year)

This Director of Finance & Accounting will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and provide strategic financial insight to leadership and the Board. Key Responsibilities of the Director of Finance & Accounting Lead monthly and year-end close processes Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Review payroll processes (prepared by Staff Accountant) Manage audit preparation and external audit process Present financial reports to Executive leadership and Board Oversee 401(k) and 403(b) administration (loans, rollovers, compliance) Maintain and enhance policies, procedures, and internal controls Partner with operational leadership to support decision-making Team & Structure Reports directly to Executive Director Dotted-line reporting to

Pro Payroll Ideal Candidate Profile The successful Director of Finance & Accounting will bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business CPA strongly preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Experience in senior living, healthcare, nonprofit, or similar environments (preferred) Proven leadership and people management experience Strong presentation skills with ability to engage executive leadership and Board members Hands-on experience with: Financial reporting and close processes Budgeting and forecasting Audit management Payroll oversight Retirement plan administration Work Environment 100% on-site in Columbia, MD Standard business hours with additional time required during close cycles and budgeting season High visibility, collaborative leadership setting #
