Purpose of the
Role:
Serves as a strategic business partner to ownership and operational leadership, providing accurate, timely, and actionable financial insight to support decision making and profitable growth. This role is responsible for financial reporting, project accounting, cash flow management, risk management, and development of the accounting team in a regulated construction environment.

Strong construction and project accounting expertise, including work in progress, percentage of completion, job cost controls, and margin analysis. Proactive problem solving and the ability to identify risks and opportunities before they impact performance. Financial Management and Reporting Oversee the monthly close process and ensure accurate, timely financial statements. Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts to support planning and decision making. Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning aligned with growth objectives. Prepare dashboards, KPIs, and management reports that enhance operational and leadership visibility Project Financial Oversight and Profitability Participate in project profitability reviews and identify trends affecting margins, productivity, and estimating accuracy. Partner with project management and operations to identify scope gaps, cost overruns, and financial risks. Support accountability for job cost performance and timely financial issue resolution. Financial Risk Management and External Relationships Strong interpersonal skills to work with customers, project managers, field supervisors and regulatory agencies. Ability to clearly articulate scope, assumptions and exclusions in proposals. Leadership and Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members through coaching and performance management. Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable regulations. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function. Technology and Process Improvement Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and payroll team members through coaching and performance management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial statements and reporting. Cash flow predictability, liquidity management, and working capital performance. Project margin performance, variance identification, and corrective action. Budgeting and forecasting accuracy. Strength and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
