3x per week A premier real estate investment and management firm is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Director to oversee the Company's property accounting function. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a 10+ person team of accounting professionals through monthly close cycles, financial reporting, and performance analysis. Review the general ledger to ensure precise cash and accrual adjustments, and verify the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and year-end working papers. Prepare detailed GAAP-basis financial statements, analyze budget variances, and generate executive-level reports for internal planning and external partners. Partner with senior business leaders on corporate cash flow forecasting, capital management, and annual budgeting strategies. Oversee the preparation and delivery of year-end audited financial statements for the property portfolio. Drive operational efficiencies by designing new reporting templates and participating in cross-functional technology and system integration projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 12+ years of progressive accounting experience strictly within the real estate industry. CPA license is preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with major enterprise real estate accounting software. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to manage complex, multi-task workflows under tight deadlines.
