Director of operations Accounting (Charm Location)

Some of the responsibilities of this position are: Lead and maintain a practical cost accounting system, including standard costing for materials, labor, and overhead, while ensuring accurate inventory and cost valuation. Perform cost and variance analysis, communicate financial insights to leadership, and support informed operational and strategic decision-making. Manage month-end close responsibilities related to inventory, fixed assets, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing variances, while supporting audits and strengthening internal controls. Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to improve cost visibility, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive continuous process and reporting improvements. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field, with 10+ years of experience in operations or cost accounting, including leadership responsibility. Strong expertise in standard costing, overhead allocation, inventory valuation, fixed asset accounting, and manufacturing/distribution cost environments. Proven ability to design and implement practical cost accounting systems and support month-end close and financial reporting processes. Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting while adaption to organizational culture. Advanced Excel and ERP system experience required; CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
