Onsite, Tulsa Job Summary:
The Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, grant requirements, and regulatory reporting. This role will lead full-cycle accounting functions, manage grant billing and reporting, and coordinate audits while maintaining strong internal controls and financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of grant accounting , including tracking restricted and unrestricted funds Prepare and submit accurate, timely grant billings and reimbursement requests Ensure compliance with grant agreements, federal/state regulations, and funder requirements (e.g., Uniform Guidance, if applicable) Collaborate with program staff to ensure proper allocation and reporting of grant expenditures Support grant budgeting and financial forecasting Oversee full-cycle accounting , including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and monthly close processes Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee investment accounts if applicable Maintain strong internal controls and continuously improve financial processes Oversee preparation and filing of Form 990 and other regulatory reports Responsible for federal and state reporting , including preparation of Pro-Forma 990, 1099s, 1095s, W-2s, and overtime reporting , ensuring accurate and timely completion of documentation in alignment with national standards
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7-9 years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience with grant billing, grant compliance, and fund accounting Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation To learn more about this opportunity call us at (918) 508-7000.
