The ideal candidate pairs deep technical accounting, payroll and healthcare revenue cycle expertise with strong operational leadership to manage risk, optimize revenue and drive clinic wide efficiencies. WFMC Health is a non-profit (501)(c)(3) organization providing integrated medical and behavioral health services to a diverse population of patients residing throughout Marion Key Responsibilities Financial Management Duties

•

Accounting Operations:

Direct all daily, monthly, and year-end accounting functions.

•

Asset and Inventory Tracking:

Work with administrative and clinical staff to assure that clinic assets and inventory are appropriately tracked, maintained and managed.

•

Tax and Audit Compliance:

Oversee the collection of financial and governance data required for the annual IRS Form 990 filing, working in tandem with the external CPA. Lead preparation for any external audits.

•

Board Governance:

Prepare detailed financial packets for monthly Board of Directors meetings and present directly to the Board.

•

Internal Controls:

Establish and enforce robust internal financial controls to safeguard clinic assets, manage and reconcile revenue gaps, and ensure regulatory compliance.

•

Operations and Physical Plant:

Collaborate with the Operations Manager and external contractors to assure that clinic operations run smoothly and that the physical plant is appropriately and timely maintained.

•

IT Oversight:

Collaborate with key IT team members, external contractors and MSPs, and the CEO to assure that clinic technical assets are operational and expenditures within budget. Human Resources & Payroll Governance

•

HR Department Supervision:

Serve as the direct supervisor to the HR Manager, providing strategic guidance on employee relations, policy enforcement, recruitment, and legal compliance.

•

Payroll Review & Approval:

Oversee clinic payroll and conduct final review of bi-weekly hours, tracking variables, and deductions; grant approval for the payroll run before final release.

•

Benefits Strategy:

Partner with the CEO and HR Manager to evaluate, select, and oversee company benefit plans, ensuring cost-effective, competitive offerings that align with the annual budget.

•

Performance Management:

Oversee the clinic-wide performance evaluation framework executed by the HR Manager, tying staffing metrics to financial performance indicators. Executive Leadership & Operations

•

Report:

This role reports directly to the CEO and meets on a regular basis with the CEO for the purpose of reviewing the clinic's financial condition, clinic and business data, forecasting and strategic planning.

Strategic Budgeting:

Collaborate with the CEO, the board and administrative staff to build annual operating budgets, manage capital expenditures, and optimize labor models.

•

Cross-Department Efficiency:

Bridge the gap between clinical operations, HR, IT and financial data to streamline and improve efficiencies of clinic wide workflows.

•

Clinic Programs and Initiatives:

This role requires active executive level participation in a varied and evolving number of clinic wide programs, special projects, work groups and committees. Qualifications & Skills

•

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred strongly preferred.

•

Experience:

Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting and business operations experience, with 3+ years supervising management-level staff. Deep experience working with or within a Healthcare or medical clinic setting is highly preferred.

•

Software Mastery:

Expert-level proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft programs. Experience with medical billing practices and workflows preferred.

•

Core Competencies:

Proven leadership capability, high emotional intelligence for managing management-level staff, and strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines (HIPAA/financial data). Exceptional writing and communication skills are required.

Pay:

$145,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
