Director of Accounting 239 Edgewood Drive Ext, Transfer, PA 16154 Full-time Full-time Position Summary The Director of Finance serves as a key member of the executive leadership team for the hospital. This role provides strategic financial leadership, oversees all financial operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports sustainable growth while maintaining high-quality patient care. The Director of Finance partners closely with the CEO, clinical leaders, and the board to align financial strategies with the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional services. This position reports directly to the CEO. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement long and short-range financial plans, including capital and operational budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and executive team on service line development, growth initiatives, cost management, and revenue optimization. Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs, improve margins, and increase revenues while supporting quality patient outcomes. Provide financial analysis for potential expansions, acquisitions, partnerships, or new services. Accounting, Reporting & Compliance Oversee general accounting, patient financial services, third-party reimbursement, and statistical reporting. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Direct the revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and denials management. Budgeting & Performance Management Prepare and monitor annual operating and capital budgets. Monitor financial performance metrics and report to leadership. Operational & Team Leadership Provide leadership to finance, revenue cycle, and other business-related departments. Collaborate with clinical leaders on financial aspects of hospital services. Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. Master's degree (MBA/MHA) and/or CPA strongly preferred Experience Minimum 5-7 years of progressive financial leadership, preferably in healthcare setting. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement, and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
