Senior Division Controller High Growth, Multi-Location Organization | Kansas City Metro Ready for an accounting leadership role where you're actually part of the business, not just reporting on it? We are partnering with a large, growing organization in the Kansas City area that is adding a Senior Controller to its finance leadership team. This is a highly visible role combining strong accounting leadership with operational finance and business partnership. You'll own the accounting for a major division, lead a team, work directly with operational executives, and use financial information to help leaders make better decisions. Why This Opportunity Stands Out $130,000 to $150,000 base salary Hybrid schedule High visibility with senior finance and operational leadership Leadership responsibility with an established accounting team Significant opportunity for internal career advancement Engaged company culture with regular team events, community involvement, and opportunities to connect outside of day-to-day work What You'll Own Own the financial performance and accounting activities for a key area of the business Lead, coach, and support accounting team members while staying connected to the day-to-day work Drive an accurate and efficient monthly close, including account reconciliations and financial reporting Review results against budget, forecast, and prior periods to understand what is driving performance Turn financial data into clear, useful recommendations for operational leaders Spot emerging cost pressures, trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement Work alongside business leaders to improve profitability and overall operating results Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning Enhance internal controls and find smarter ways to streamline accounting and reporting Build and monitor KPIs that give leadership better visibility into business performance Assess the financial impact of operational decisions across a complex, multi-location environment Create financial analysis and reporting for senior leadership Champion process improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across the organization What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience preferred Strong foundation in general accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and
U.S. GAAP
Previous experience managing or developing accounting professionals Experience within a large, multi-location is highly valued Public accounting experience is a plus CPA is preferred
