Job DescriptionJ.S. Held's Complex Accounting & Litigation team is seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Managing Director to expand our forensic accounting and litigation consulting services. This is a senior leadership role for a professional with deep experience in audit, forensic accounting and/or complex investigations and litigation —paired with a strong track record of working with high-performing teams, developing people and helping to grow a book of business.

As a Managing Director, you will play a role in shaping the strategic direction of the practice, leading high-impact engagements, mentoring talent, and cultivating long-term client relationships across industries and geographies.

Job ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Team DevelopmentWork with other senior leaders to mentor and grow a team of investigative professionals.

Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality, innovation, and client service.

Support internal knowledge sharing, training, and professional development initiatives.

Client Engagement & Project OversightOversee and execute complex, forensic accounting, investigations and expert witness engagements.

Guide the development of client deliverables including reports, presentations, and data visualizations.

Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic insight.

Business Development & Market ExpansionExpand your book of business and contribute to the growth of the Complex Accounting & Litigation Practice.

Work with other leaders to develop and implement go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Build and maintain relationships with law firms, financial institutions, and corporate clients.

Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.

Qualifications10+ years of experience in investigative consulting, audit or forensic advisory roles.

Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and client delivery.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into clear, actionable insights.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred QualificationsExperience working across jurisdictions and regulatory environments.

Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.

Physical and Mental Job QualificationsMust be able to remain in a stationary position during work shift.

Ability to travel as needed.
