Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Aid Specialist to join our dynamic education administration team. In this vital role, you will serve as a key resource for students navigating financial assistance options, ensuring they receive accurate guidance and support throughout the aid process. Your expertise in financial analysis, loan processing, and accounting will help empower students to achieve their educational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating access to education through transparent and efficient financial services. Responsibilities Assist students with completing financial aid applications, including federal and institutional forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Analyze student financial data using tools such as PeopleSoft and Ellucian to determine eligibility for various aid programs. Process loan applications and disbursements, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. Conduct thorough financial analysis to evaluate student eligibility, award amounts, and repayment plans. Collaborate with education administration teams to coordinate scholarship awards, grants, and other financial resources. Communicate clearly with students regarding their financial aid status, required documentation, and next steps. Maintain detailed records of all transactions, audits, and correspondence related to financial aid activities. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related finance roles within an educational or financial services environment. Familiarity with Student Information Systems such as PeopleSoft or Ellucian is highly preferred. Strong understanding of loan processing procedures and federal/state financial aid regulations. Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex information to diverse audiences. Solid math skills for analyzing financial data and calculating award amounts accurately. Background in education administration or related fields is advantageous. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Pay:
$50,151.25 - $60,397.20 per year
