Job Description

Behind every successful college student is a supportive team—and that team starts with you. At Denison, we believe that managing student accounts requires equal parts precision and compassion. We are seeking a Student Financial Services team member who can handle the day-to-day financial operations with excellence while providing a warm, reassuring voice to families navigating the billing process. From collaborating with financial aid to leading campus-wide deposit processes, your work will keep our university moving forward. Performs a variety of tasks related to the student accounts. Answers emails and phone calls related to accounts while working in tandem with other offices on campus to solve issues with charges and aid. Adds and removes financial holds on accounts and performs collection efforts on past due accounts.
Responsibilities:
Oversees student accounts including auditing for accuracy of charges, posting charges and payments to account, and preparing monthly statements. Provide exceptional customer service in assisting students and families with navigating the billing and payment process. Performs miscellaneous deposits for University offices including wire transfers, personal payments, outside scholarships and other campus fees (Off-Campus Study, Summer Housing, Red Thread, Library, Physical Plant charges, parking fines, etc.) Works with outside vendors to ensure data integration and processes are accurate and regulations are followed. Collaborates and supports the financial aid office to ensure scholarships, aid and other payments and refunds are processed in a timely manner to the student account. Pursues past due accounts for payment and assists with payment arrangements, also works with collection agencies as needed. Responsible for processing of daily mail and email management of student accounts and financial aid inboxes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
3-5 Years of relevant experience Some experience utilizing financial and data programs (Excel, Workday, etc) Successful completion of background check and credit check.
