Financial Analyst II Location:
Onsite- Burlingame, CA Duration:
4 Months Position Summary We are seeking a mid-level Financial Analyst II to support financial planning, reporting, and cross-functional process initiatives. In this role, you will provide analytical support, reconcile data, and contribute to key projects aimed at enhancing the accuracy, timeliness, and usability of financial information. A primary focus will be supporting the transition of core financial planning workflows out of spreadsheets and into a new financial execution tool.
Key Responsibilities Tooling & Systems Implementation:
Support the rollout of a new financial planning execution tool and management reporting structures. Assist with requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), process documentation, and change management.
Data Validation & Reconciliation:
Compile, validate, and reconcile complex financial data across systems to ensure audit-level completeness and accuracy.
Project Management:
Track deliverables, workstream timelines, dependencies, and status updates across cross-functional stakeholders.
Stakeholder Alignment:
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, clarify assumptions, and align on recurring reporting needs.
Process Documentation:
Create clear, repeatable process notes, definitions, control steps, and workflow documentation. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of corporate finance or financial analysis experience. Proven track record supporting financial systems implementations, upgrades, or finance tooling/process changes. Solid experience working with large data sets, advanced spreadsheets, and data quality/reconciliation workflows. Strong working knowledge of core financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) and foundational corporate accounting principles. Demonstrated project management skills, including task coordination, deliverable tracking, and stakeholder communications. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications & Attributes Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage tight timelines effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical business partners. High discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information. High attention to detail and a methodical approach to data verification.
