Opens a new window. The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Fiscal Analyst in the Health and Human Services Department. Under general supervision, performs a variety of difficult and complex professional level analytical work to support the operations of County departments, agencies and programs in areas such as the development and administration of the annual budget, financial/fiscal analysis and reporting, grant monitoring and administration; and performs other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate:
Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex financial and operational data Experienced in budget development, monitoring, and administration processes Skilled in financial analysis, forecasting, and clear reporting of findings Knowledgeable in grant management, including compliance, tracking, and administration Able to support multiple departments, programs, and stakeholders effectively Exercises sound judgment and works independently under general supervision Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Communicates complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines Adaptable and responsive to evolving organizational needs and assignmentsQualifications Education and Experience:
MINIMUM:
Equivalent to Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major course work in accounting, business or public administration, economics, finance, statistics, or related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and review of accounting, financial, or fiscal records equivalent to the County's class of Accounting Technician. Relevant financial experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year for year basis.PREFERRED
In addition to the minimum, additional years of experience as defined above in a public agency.Licenses and Certification:
The ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; may be required to maintain throughout employment.Special Requirements:
Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation which may include Live Scan fingerprinting and/or credit check prior to hire. Under general supervision, the incumbent performs a broad range of technical, administrative and confidential functions in a centralized human resources and risk management setting including processes of personnel, training, benefits, and County-wide payroll processing; audits reports and systems; analysis of data; assists with administration of County's benefit plans, human resources information systems (HRIS), position control; coordinates County-wide training programs; provides support in various employee and labor relations areas; and performs related work as assigned.The ideal candidate will:
