Your new company A well?established retail real estate group with decades of experience, this organization owns and manages major shopping centers across several U.S. markets. With a large, growing portfolio anchored by national retailers, they focus on long?term value, strong tenant relationships, and hands?on property management as they continue expanding into new markets. Your new role Support asset operations by partnering with Property Management to plan, organize, and oversee activities that impact the performance of commercial assets. Analyze financial performance including rent rolls, budgets, forecasts, operational expenses, and vendor contracts to optimize profitability. Assist with strategic planning by developing asset management plans, evaluating renewal needs, and identifying opportunities to enhance property value. Oversee lease administration including negotiations, renewals, relocations, compliance, and maintaining accurate lease data. Support acquisitions through underwriting, financial modeling (Excel & ARGUS), market research, due diligence coordination, and preparing investment memos. Manage property maintenance oversight by collaborating with Property Management, tracking operations in Yardi, reviewing AR/AP, and supporting capital improvement projects. Conduct market research using CoStar and industry tools to evaluate trends, rental rates, and competitive positioning. Support leasing and occupancy by identifying prospects, negotiating terms, optimizing occupancy, and partnering with marketing teams. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance including lease disputes, operational issues, and adherence to local, state, and federal requirements. Prepare reporting and analysis including financial performance reports, property assessments, maintenance budgets, and recommendations to enhance asset value. Support risk management by ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and building codes, reviewing warranties and service agreements, and identifying operational risks. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of commercial real estate experience with a focus on shopping centers or similar asset types. Strong financial and analytical skills including budgeting, forecasting, underwriting, and investment analysis. Proficiency in lease negotiations and tenant relations. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ARGUS, CoStar, and financial modeling tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with internal teams and external stakeholders. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assets and transactions simultaneously. Experience with property management software such as Yardi and other financial analysis platforms. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast?paced, growth?oriented environment.
