We are seeking to add someone to our established dental team who is confident, organized, and great with patient service. You'll be the point person for helping patients understand their treatment costs, insurance benefits, and payment options, while keeping accounts accurate and collections healthy. If you enjoy clear systems, teamwork, and making the financial side feel easy for patients, you'll fit right in. What you'll do Present treatment plans and financial arrangements in a clear, friendly way Schedule patients accordingly and follow up on unscheduled treatment plans Verify insurance benefits and estimate patient portions (PPO, FFS, In-office Dental Wellness Plan as applicable) Collect co-pays/deductibles at time of service and set up payment options (CareCredit/Cherry/Sunbit, Credit Card and any other financing used) Post payments, adjustments, and insurance checks accurately; ensure ledgers match EOBs Track and follow up on outstanding balances and A/R (calls, texts, statements) and maintain a healthy AR Coordinate with the clinical team for accurate coding Maintain clean notes and documentation in the practice management software Support daily/weekly reporting: collections, A/R aging, unscheduled treatment, and deposits Provide excellent patient communication and de-escalation when needed What we're looking for 3+ years in dental front office/financial coordination (preferred) Strong understanding of dental insurance, EOBs, write-offs, deductibles, and estimates Comfortable discussing money with patients respectfully and confidently Accurate data entry and attention to detail (payments/adjustments must be clean) Strong scheduling, phone skills and professional written communication Experience with Open Dental is a plus Reliable, kind, and team-oriented Bonus points if you have Experience improving A/R systems and reducing aging of insurance and patient balances Knowledge of membership plans and tracking plan discounts correctly Experience with financing platforms like CareCredit and Cherry KPI mindset (collections 98%-100%, aging targets are 60+ days under 10% , schedule utilization 80%) What success looks like (first 60-90 days) Treatment planning and financial arrangements are consistent and documented Insurance estimates and write-offs match EOBs with minimal corrections needed A/R follow-up cadence is in place and balances start trending down Parents schedule their children's restorative and preventive needs Parents feel informed and respected when discussing costs Email your resume through Indeed with the subject line: Financial Coordinator.
