Job Description
Under general supervision, the Financial Analyst is accessing data through a variety of databases and creating accurate, meaningful reports for diverse audiences. Analyst is also responsible for assisting in the physician compensation payroll process. Primary Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assists the Manager of Physician Compensation and Financial Analytics in data gathering and entry to complete physician payroll administration
- Reporting and review of monthly RVU, Revenue, and patient visit statistics for physicians and medical groups
- Participates in maintenance of physician contract database and tracks changes to physician compensation and status changes
- Assists with the development of provider profit & loss statements, and ad hoc analyses
- Research issues/questions based on historical data, and makes recommendations based on analysis
- Participate in the annual budgeting process and budget variance analysis throughout the fiscal year
- Manage the tracking and reimbursement of physicians' professional business expenses
- Manage data entry of non-patient/quality driven medical revenue
- Fulfills other reporting and analysis needs as requested
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, HealthCare Administration or related field
- A minimum of 1-2 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or accounting required
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel; proficient in data development and report preparation
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Able to consistently demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, discretion, and behaviors necessary to provide superior service
