Purpose of Position:
This position will be responsible for assisting in preparing JEs, reconciling accounts, reviewing financial data and providing assistance to the regional finance manager in daily and monthly tasks. This role, will also ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
Accountabilities:
Prepares and records assigned journal entries for monthly closing. Reconciles specified general ledger accounts. Reviews accounting entries for accuracy and prepares corrections as needed. Assists with financial reporting and month-end schedules and analysis Performs other accounting/financial duties as requested Supports the General Manager and regional finance team with accounting and finance-related requests. Assists with CAPEX tracking, analysis, and supporting documentation. Assist with the preparation of financial and Ad Hoc projects as needed (including Variance analysis, KPIs scorecards and other Ops related requests) Arrange various supporting schedules to be utilized in the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statement preparation.
Minimum Skills Required:
4-year College Degree (Accounting, Business or similar)) from an accredited institution. At least 4 years of prior experience in a similar role. Proficient in usage of Co-pilot for MS Office Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis, macros. Power Query, with the ability to support accounting reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close activities. Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles Good analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written). Well organized and able to multi-task. Project management skills, and follow-up.
Preferred :
Cost accounting experience preferred. Experience with Oracle is preferred.
