Job Description

Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in higher education. SQL experience. Proficiency in PeopleSoft, MS Office, and other reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Gathers, analyzes, and reports on financial aid data to track trends, measure outcomes, and support decision-making and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations, policies and procedures. Provides technical SIS support, designs, tests and maintain reports, queries and dashboards, and reviews business processes from end-to-end to identify operational, financial, and student satisfaction efficiencies and optimizations. Assist in the operational maintenance and data integrity of the systems and databases, develop standardized practices for importing, cleaning, transforming and validating data. Manage the data exchanges with vendors, use data and system analysis to identify opportunities in existing business practices to improve business processes. Generates processes for award letters, rejected ISIR letters, outstanding document letters/emails, book vouchers, etc. Gather requirements and produce specifications for a new system and/or modifications to current systems, databases, and third-party integrations. Proactively establish reports and strategies to enhance student experience. Analyzes Financial Aid regulations and legislation to ensure compliance. Creates ad hoc reports for the Financial Aid Services Office and other areas upon request. Assists the Executive Director with analysis, preparation, and compilation of information for financial aid reports and audits. Works overtime during peak periods as needed and is available at other times during the year as deemed necessary by the Executive Director. Other duties and special project as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Demonstrated expert level computing skills and technological proficiency with database and data manipulation products. Demonstrated experience in analyzing and recommending significant improvements in departmental operations. Must develop comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State, and Institutional Financial Aid regulations. Ability to effectively communicate with students and College personnel. Strong conceptual, logical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work without direct supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to remain flexible, navigate change, and meet objectives within limited time frames. Candidates must possess unquestioned personal and professional ethical standards. Ability to thrive in fast paced environment where expectations for performance and productivity are high. Excellent time management and follow-up on tasks.
