JOB DESCRIPTION
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing comprehensive financial management, reporting, and analytical support across the College of Nursing, including academic units, clinical operations, and affiliated entities. This position plays a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data, compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements, and effective stewardship of financial resources. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including financial reporting and analysis, budget monitoring, contract and revenue oversight, audit support, reconciliation processes, and operational financial support. The Financial Analyst collaborates with leadership, faculty, administrative staff, and external partners to support informed decision-making and maintain efficient financial operations. Financial Management, Reporting, and Analysis Perform comprehensive financial analysis and reporting across the College, including academic programs, clinical operations, and affiliated entities. Prepare, review, and distribute recurring and ad hoc financial reports for leadership, program directors, and external stakeholders. Monitor revenues, expenditures, and budget performance across multiple funding sources and operational areas. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across diverse programs and entities. Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support strategic and operational decision-making. Ensure accurate tracking, reconciliation, and reporting for specific programs, contracts, clinical activities, and designated funding sources. Collaborate with operational and program leadership to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy, and overall financial performance. Audit, Compliance, and Reconciliation Perform regular reconciliations across multiple accounts, systems, and funding sources to ensure accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with institutional policies, internal controls, and applicable federal, state, and organizational regulations. Prepare documentation, reports, and supporting schedules for internal and external audits. Identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls. Maintain accurate, complete, and auditable financial records across all areas of responsibility. Contracts Management and Revenue Oversight Support financial administration of contracts, agreements, and service arrangements across the College and related entities. Monitor billing, invoicing, and revenue collection processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Track financial performance of contracts and assist with required reporting for program and service agreements. Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements. Operational Support and Backup Functions Provide backup support for financial transaction processing, including purchasing, accounts payable, travel, and related fiscal activities. Review and validate transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures. Assist with onboarding and training of staff related to financial systems and processes. Support continuity of operations by providing coverage for key financial functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Master's degree in a relevant field Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting practices, and reporting standards Experience with budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and audit processes across multiple funding sources Ability to analyze complex financial data and present findings clearly to diverse audiences High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong communication and collaboration skills Proficiency with financial systems, reporting tools, and data analysis Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, multi-entity environment
