Job Title:
Associate Financial Analyst (Contract) Job Description This contract Associate Financial Analyst role supports financial modeling, reporting, and operational analysis initiatives for a large, complex organization. You will partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, support data-driven decision-making, and ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX requirements, and relevant regulatory standards. This position offers exposure to a multibillion-dollar, publicly traded environment, with the potential for contract extension based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities Perform financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support key business decisions. Analyze financial impacts related to operational and strategic initiatives across the organization. Prepare clear and accurate financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership. Support month-end close activities, including budget versus actual analysis and cost tracking. Ensure financial transactions and reporting comply with SOX requirements and internal controls. Assist with purchase order creation, invoicing, and payment processing activities. Manage accounts payable-related tasks, including coordination of purchase orders and invoices. Communicate regularly with vendors and internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and clarify financial data. Conduct research on GAAP and relevant regulatory or compliance requirements as needed. Contribute to cross-functional projects focused on improving financial performance and operational efficiency. Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to perform detailed data analysis and reconciliations. Maintain accurate documentation to support audits, internal reviews, and financial controls. Essential Skills 1-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, or accounting support. Hands-on experience with forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Familiarity with GAAP and basic regulatory and compliance concepts. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including vlookup, pivot tables, and data analysis functions. Experience with financial modeling and operational financial analysis. Working knowledge of SOX-related controls and compliance in a financial context. Experience with purchase orders, invoicing, payments, and accounts payable processes. Ability to perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial data. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders and vendors. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Equivalent practical experience considered in place of a formal degree. Experience preparing financial dashboards and presentations for leadership. Comfort working within a large, complex, publicly traded organization. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and explain financial results. Solid written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors. Proactive approach to identifying process improvements and supporting performance enhancement initiatives. Work Environment This role is onsite Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a dynamic and fast-paced corporate environment. You will work closely with finance, accounting, and operational teams, using tools such as Microsoft Excel and other standard financial systems to perform analysis, reporting, and accounts payable activities. The setting offers exposure to a multibillion-dollar, publicly traded organization with a strong industry reputation, providing opportunities to build your professional network and gain visibility across a large enterprise. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
