Job Description
Description We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis within a healthcare organization. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who can turn financial data into clear business insights and contribute to accurate accounting and forecasting activities. The role offers the chance to work across financial analysis and accounting functions while helping leaders make informed operational decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop financial models and analytical reports to evaluate performance, support planning, and guide business decisions.
- Conduct detailed reviews of actual results against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks, and key drivers behind variances.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for leadership to address operational questions, cost concerns, and strategic initiatives.
- Create and post journal entries while maintaining accuracy and alignment with established accounting practices.
- Participate in full cycle accounting activities, including period-end support, reconciliations, and financial reporting preparation.
- Gather, organize, and interpret financial data from multiple sources to produce meaningful insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to improve reporting quality, strengthen controls, and support ongoing business needs. Requirements
- Proven experience in financial analysis, including interpretation of financial results and development of actionable recommendations.
- Hands-on ability to build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Strong background in ad hoc analysis with the ability to respond quickly to changing business priorities.
- Experience performing variance analysis and clearly explaining fluctuations in revenue, expenses, and operating results.
- Working knowledge of journal entries and core accounting processes within a full cycle accounting environment.
- High level of accuracy, analytical thinking, and comfort working with large sets of financial data.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
