Contract Position Job Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst Entry Level to support financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities for a leading organization in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills , excellent communication abilities, and experience working with cross-functional teams to support business decision-making. This role involves assisting with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and compliance reporting , while collaborating with multiple departments and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Assist with financial modeling, revenue forecasting, and variance analysis Prepare and maintain budget, cost tracking, and financial reports Support month-end close activities and ensure data accuracy Perform financial impact analysis for business and operational decisions Research and apply GAAP principles and financial policies Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls Compile and analyze financial data for management presentations Coordinate with internal teams across finance and operations Support limited accounts payable, inventory tracking, and reporting tasks Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 1 5 years of experience in: Financial analysis Budgeting Forecasting Reporting Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with senior leadership and multiple business units Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance preferred Preferred Skills Experience with financial systems or ERP platforms Strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience preparing executive-level financial presentations
