THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.
Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID 100 Australian Avenue, WPB 34784 Professional position involving financial analysis and a broad range of financial management activities for the County. Responsible for performing detailed financial management analyses, designing and improving financial and/or management systems, reviewing or preparing budget requests, preparing forecasts of revenues or expenses, as well as evaluating and issuing financial reports. Work requires considerable knowledge of methods and procedures used in financial management analysis. May have some supervisory responsibility over clerical or support staff. Exercises independent judgment in performing various financial analyses. Performance is reviewed by an administrative superior through conferences, reports, and observation of results achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following : A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Public Administration, Economics, or related field; minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in governmental or commercial accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial data analytics, or financial analysis, OR A Master's Degree in Business/Public Administration (MBA/MPA); minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in governmental or commercial accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial data analytics, or financial analysis, OR An unrelated Bachelor's Degree/related Associate's Degree; minimum of four (4) years of experience performing professional/paraprofessional experience in governmental or commercial accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial data analytics, or financial analysis, OR Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) years of professional/paraprofessional experience in governmental or commercial accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial data analytics, or financial analysis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include experience in/with (must specify in application) : Mortgage loan processing, Accounting reconciliation, Using automated financial system/Crystal Report, CGI Advantage System, Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS), Writer/Word/Excel, and Contract review/management.
