Illinois , Macomb Job Description A well-capitalized, relationship-driven community bank is seeking an Associate Credit Analyst to join its Risk Management team. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for an early-career professional who wants to build a strong foundation in commercial credit and underwriting. This role provides hands-on training and direct mentorship from senior credit leadership while offering exposure to commercial, real estate, agricultural, and consumer lending. What You'll Do- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and credit reports
- Prepare financial spreads, ratio analysis, and cash flow models
- Develop clear, well-written credit presentations outlining strengths, risks, and mitigants
- Evaluate collateral and calculate loan-to-value ratios
- Recommend credit risk ratings in accordance with loan policy
- Partner with lenders while maintaining independent credit judgment
- Document policy exceptions and prior-to-close conditions
- Assist with annual loan reviews, portfolio monitoring, and audit support
- Participate as a non-voting member of loan committee meetings
- Support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Basic understanding of financial statements with a strong desire to learn commercial credit
- High attention to detail and ability to self-review work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Curious, analytical mindset with professionalism and integrity
- Interest in community banking and long-term career development Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work with formulas, spreadsheets, and financial data
- Willingness to learn loan policy, regulations, and bank systems Work Environment
- Full-time, onsite position in a rural Illinois market
- Monday-Friday schedule; additional hours as needed

- $45,000-$65,000 yearly, based on experience
