full-time Senior Financial Reporting Accountant Chicago, IL- Hybrid A leading global hospitality company is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join its Financial Reporting team. This role will work closely with the broader Finance organization and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities. Responsibilities Prepare consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and financial statement footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Support quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statement reporting Prepare monthly internal management reporting, including CFO reporting packages and related analysis Prepare consolidating and intercompany elimination journal entries and assist with chart of accounts maintenance Monitor, analyze, and review financial data within Hyperion Review financial information submitted by business divisions for financial reporting purposes Review debt covenant calculations Support the preparation and review of quarterly earnings releases and related materials Prepare standalone entity financial statements and footnotes Review XBRL tagging for compliance with reporting requirements Prepare audit support and work directly with external auditors Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency within consolidation and financial reporting processes Participate in accounting research and special projects as needed Qualifications 3-5+ years of accounting and/or public accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Public accounting experience preferred CPA preferred Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial reporting Experience with financial ERP/reporting systems; Hyperion preferred Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills Ability to manage projects through completion with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
