Job Description

Peerless is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide financial planning, budget execution, reporting, and analysis support for government and corporate programs. The successful candidate will assist with funding execution, financial data analysis, budget planning, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable financial policies, regulations, and directives. Key Responsibilities Monitor and report the execution of funds, including commitments, obligations, expenditures, and de-obligations. Gather, compile, analyze, and interpret financial data to develop reports and respond to internal and external data calls. Perform financial planning support, including development of financial structures, processes, and strategies. Conduct trend analysis using historical financial data to identify costs, portfolio performance, and opportunities for improvement. Assist with budget formulation, operating plans, and financial forecasting activities. Allocate funds, review expenditures, monitor spending trends, and resolve financial discrepancies. Utilize ERP systems to track financial activity, maintain records, and support reporting requirements. Review Defense Travel System (DTS) travel orders and support travel-related financial actions. Research Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) and assist with financial reconciliation efforts. Calculate monthly burn rates and prepare labor and expenditure reports. Participate in financial reviews, meetings, and working groups to provide recommendations and support decision-making. Maintain awareness of changes to financial policies, regulations, and guidance and advise management accordingly. Requirements High School Diploma. 2-5 years of financial, budgeting, accounting, or related experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working with ERP systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
