Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Modeling and Strategic and Operational Analysis:
Develop and maintain models that support treasury operations and institutional decision-making. Additionally, support the preparation of presentations that communicate financial analysis and recommendations to inform decision-making of Treasury leadership, senior University executives, and theBoard of Trustees Systems and Process Support:
Maintain and enhance Treasury systems, reporting tools and workflow processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through process improvement and emerging technologies. From time to time, contribute to financial market and product research to support treasury strategy and evaluate potential opportunities.Debt and Capital Market Support:
Analyze proposals from financial partners for alignment with University objectives and assist in evaluating and implementing long-term debt and derivatives strategies. This will include performing financial analysis related to bond issuances and financing transactions. Additionally, support the review of bond documents and disclosure requirements (including public disclosure and investor materials).Insurance Support:
Provide operational support for claims coordination, reporting, stakeholder communication, and related administrative processes. Maintain systems, analyze insurance data and metrics, and provide reporting to leadership, including evaluation of risk transfer strategies and review of proposals as appropriate.Executive Communications and Presentation Support:
Develop and support executive-level presentations and materials that communicate complex financial analyses in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. Support Treasury leadership in presenting strategic recommendations to senior University executives, and the Board of Trustees. Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills . Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills Has the ability to construct effective financial models that are practical and reliable using sometimes ambiguous data and information. Successful candidates are not expected to have prior experience across every Treasury function, but should demonstrate a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic . Qualifications 2 years of relevant experience preferred, however recent graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field are preferred. Advanced degrees are a plus. Foundational understanding of financial and accounting principles, insurance knowledge a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with financial modeling concepts, formulas, and other financial functions Familiarity with quantitative, business intelligence, and visualization tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Tableau or similar) preferred Basic understanding of capital markets, debt financing and treasury operations preferred High attention to detailRESUME & COVER LETTER ARE REQUIRED
