Job Description:

Trade Operations Analyst | Boston | Hedge Fund / Alternative Asset Manager Our client, a global alternative investment platform, is looking to add a Trade Operations Analyst to its Boston team. This is a broad, cross-asset middle office opportunity supporting multiple investment strategies across a fast-paced institutional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle, including trade matching, confirmations, settlement oversight, and exception management across a range of financial instruments
• Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, unmatched trades, cash discrepancies, and position issues in partnership with brokers, custodians, and counterparties
• Support lifecycle events including trade amendments, reference data updates, corporate events, and position maintenance to ensure accurate downstream reporting and risk visibility
• Perform daily reconciliations across cash and securities positions, identifying and escalating discrepancies where needed
• Act as a key contact for external trading counterparties and internal stakeholders across trading, technology, operations, and control functions
• Contribute to automation, workflow enhancement, and operational efficiency initiatives to improve scalability and reduce manual risk
• Support governance, controls, regulatory processes, and internal audit requirements across the operations function
• Participate in testing, implementation, and rollout of operational or technology enhancements impacting trade workflows

Required Background:

• Experience in trade operations / middle office / post-trade support within asset management, hedge funds, prime brokerage, or institutional markets, specifically confirmations and settlement
• Strong understanding of global settlement workflows, reconciliations, and trade lifecycle processing

CTM Experience Preferred Background:

• Strong product exposure across equities, fixed income, and OTC derivatives (swaps preferred)
• Familiarity with institutional trade infrastructure such as DTCC CTM, ALERT, Traiana, Bloomberg, or similar platforms
• Excel proficiency and a process improvement mindset Ideal for someone coming from a hedge fund, prime broker, or cross-asset institutional operations environment looking for broad product exposure in a high-performing investment platform.
