About The Opportunity We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance & Accounting team in a broad, highly visible role that works across multiple areas of the business. This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional analyst position. The role will provide exposure to Sales, Sales Planning, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Accounting, and senior leadership, with the chance to understand how the business operates from both a financial and operational perspective. The Financial Analyst will support reporting, planning, profitability analysis, inventory and landed cost analysis, pricing, commissions, and process improvement. Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who is curious, willing to dig into the numbers, ask questions, identify issues, and help turn financial and operational data into better business decisions. What You'll Do Financial Analysis, Reporting & Planning Prepare monthly gross margin reporting and customer profitability analysis. Support cash flow reporting, annual budgeting, and periodic forecasting. Maintain and improve financial reporting used by Finance and business leadership. Assist with executive-level financial reporting and presentations. Perform ad hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decisions. Investigate financial trends and variances and help identify the underlying business drivers. Commercial & Operational Finance Prepare and review monthly sales commission calculations. Maintain customer pricing contracts and Sales Representative assignments within NetSuite. Support the setup, analysis, and ongoing administration of sales programs. Prepare monthly sales reporting for external partners. Analyze customer, product, and closeout profitability. Review inventory levels and help develop recommendations for obsolete and slow-moving inventory. Partner with Supply Chain team to investigate and resolve pricing variances. Analyze warehouse costs, operating trends, and potential cost-saving opportunities. Review and code inbound freight invoices for accuracy and appropriate accounting classification. Accounting, Controls & Process Improvement Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and investigate variances. Partner with Accounts Receivable to research and validate customer deductions. Work with Data Management to help maintain accurate customer master data. Support monthly close, internal and external audits, and related accounting activities. Participate in NetSuite and Finance process-improvement initiatives. Partner cross-functionally to improve financial reporting, processes, controls, and data accuracy. Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve recurring reporting and analysis. Provide Accounts Payable backup coverage during planned absences. Take on special projects and financial analyses as business needs arise. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and wants to understand not just what the numbers are, but why they look the way they do. The right person will be proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable digging into a problem until they understand the root cause. They should also be willing to ask questions, challenge existing processes when appropriate, collaborate cross-functionally, and communicate their findings clearly to people throughout the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, commercial finance, or a related role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and communicate key findings. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets and financial models. Strong attention to detail, organized, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships across all departments. Interest in learning how the entire business operates and how financial and operational decisions connect. Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in improving reporting, processes, and data quality. Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system preferred. Experience in wholesale distribution, consumer products, apparel, footwear, or a similar product-based business preferred. Compensation The estimated base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000. Actual compensation will be determined by candidate factors including experience, education, relevant skills, location, and specific job-related expertise. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
