Our client in the Irving, TX area is seeking an Accounting Analyst for a remote temporary assignment supporting a medical leave. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can quickly step in and contribute across accounting operations, financial analysis, reporting, and client billing with minimal ramp-up time. Responsibilities- Support month-end close activities and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Analyze actual versus budgeted and forecasted results, identifying key drivers of variances
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Manage client invoicing and billing processes while ensuring compliance with contract requirements
- Monitor billing schedules and recurring deadlines to ensure timely invoicing
- Assist with audit support and accounting documentation needs
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business operations Qualifications
- 3-5 years of accounting, financial analysis, or financial operations experience
- Required NetSuite experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong background in financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Hands-on invoicing and client billing experience
- Understanding of contract-based billing requirements and deadlines
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial results to management and leadership
