Position Type:
Temporary-to-Hire General Purpose of Job TEMPO Employment Services is recruiting a Financial Analyst for a leading manufacturing organization in the Madawaska area. This full-time, temporary-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an analytical and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with both financial and operational data to support business decision-making. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial reporting, variance analysis, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to management and operational teams. Following a successful introductory employment period, the employee will have the opportunity to transition to the client's payroll. Essential Functions Ensure accounting requirements are completed accurately and on schedule Document and substantiate financial transactions through accurate account entry and record maintenance Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, variances, and key business drivers Investigate performance variances and evaluate their impact on business objectives Prepare variance analysis reports and management commentary Track and consolidate cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with reporting against operational and financial performance targets Support the development and implementation of process improvements Collaborate with operational and financial teams to improve reporting accuracy and business performance Assist management with financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis projects Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and business information Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to think strategically in a changing business environment High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Preferred Previous experience in financial analysis, accounting, or manufacturing finance Experience analyzing operational performance metrics and business drivers Experience preparing management reports and variance analyses Experience supporting continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives Experience working within a manufacturing environment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong financial and analytical acumen Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs Working Conditions Office-based position within a manufacturing environment Occasional travel required (approximately 10%) Regular use of computer systems and financial software Frequent interaction with management and operational teams Compensation & Benefits $65,000 - $85,000 annual salary, depending on experience Full-time schedule Temporary-to-hire opportunity Comprehensive benefits available upon hire with the client Opportunity for career growth with an established manufacturing organization
