The Role:
The Financial Analyst supports the fiscal integrity and strategic financial planning of the district by analyzing, consolidating, and monitoring budgets across departments, schools, and programs. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this role coordinates the district-wide budgeting process, develops forecasting models, supports financial reporting, and provides actionable insights that enable informed decision-making. Our Financial Analyst:
Budget Development & Consolidation — Leads the district-wide budget consolidation process, integrating school and departmental budgets into a unified financial plan. Reviews submissions for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with district goals while supporting stakeholders throughout the budgeting cycle. Financial Analysis & Reporting — Conducts ongoing analysis of revenues and expenditures across all funds. Monitors budget-to-actual performance, prepares variance reports, develops allocation methodologies, and supports multi-year financial projections. Forecasting & Decision Support — Forecasts financial trends, develops scenario models, and provides recommendations that support fiscal sustainability and strategic planning. Systems & Process Improvement — Maintains and improves financial models, budget systems, dashboards, and reporting tools. Supports implementation of new financial software and promotes process efficiency. Continuous Improvement — Identifies opportunities to streamline budgeting and reporting processes while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
What We'll Love About You:
You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) and three to five years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or a related discipline. Experience in fund-based accounting environments is preferred.

You possess advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and experience working with ERP or financial systems. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities within structured budget cycles. You communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively and are committed to supporting sound financial decision-making.
