Commerce Financial Analyst Who We're Looking For:
Acme Tools is hiring an E-Commerce Financial Analyst to own the numbers behind acmetools.com — roughly 30 million visits last year, two-thirds on mobile. You'll analyze revenue, margins, and profitability, build forecasting models, and turn platform data into reports leadership can act on. You'll work closely with our buying, marketing, and accounting teams, with experienced analysts around you to learn from.
About Acme Tools:
Acme Tools was founded as Acme Electric Motor in 1948 and continues to be a family-owned operation with locations in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa. In 1999, Tool Crib of the North, Acme's catalog, and internet division, was acquired by Amazon.com. After rebranding as Acme Tools, we are now one of the premier retailers of tools and equipment, both in-store and online. We pride ourselves on having a growing, innovative eCommerce department with a start-up-like atmosphere, which will allow you to create and execute strategies with freedom and approach projects in creative ways.

Company Paid Life Insurance What You'll Take Ownership Of:
Analyze e-commerce revenue, margins, and profitability by channel (Web, 3P, SMS, Email, and other channels). Build and maintain financial models to forecast online sales, returns, and net revenue. Monitor key e-commerce KPIs — conversion rate, average order value (AOV), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and lifetime value (LTV). Perform variance analysis — actual vs. budget vs. prior year. Develop weekly and monthly financial reports for e-commerce performance and build dashboards in Tableau. Reconcile e-commerce platform data with our ERP and financial systems. Analyze top vendor performance monthly, track vendor funding and rebates, and manage spend. Request and send vendor invoices as needed. Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for e-commerce channels. Partner with buying and marketing teams on promotional spend and ROI analysis. Manage and track invoices and spend, create P&L statements, and assist with monthly preliminary financial statements.
Need-To-Haves:
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a related finance role. A background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Advanced Excel skills — you can build a model from scratch and explain every cell. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail. The ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. Excellent communication — you're comfortable presenting to cross-functional teams and leadership. A self-starter who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative team player who works well across departments. Intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity.
Love-To-Haves:
An MBA or master's in finance/accounting is great. So is a CPA, CFA, or progress toward one. None of it is required. Public accounting experience (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) is strongly preferred — but a strong track record elsewhere can absolutely get you here. E-commerce, retail, or consumer goods experience is a plus. If you don't have it, we'll get you up to speed — what matters is the fundamentals.
SQL and Salesforce:
Nice to have, not required. If you've got them, even better. Employment offers are contingent on drug-screen and background check.
