Job Description

The Senior Data Analyst, Finance is responsible for identifying Finance user requirements and delivering technology solutions that effectively and efficiently solve those needs. Fulfilling this mission will enable our team to generate meaningful business insights and accelerate business growth. This job requires individuals to synthesize complex data across multiple, disparate systems such as CRM databases, revenue data warehouses, and other databases (internal and external) that hold useful information. Because multiple projects will be in play simultaneously, candidates must have strong project management skills. This role is also responsible for training the Finance users on new solutions or existing technologies that have not been deployed to their maximum benefit. What you'll do: Initiate the advancement of measurement capabilities and tools to better analyze and access data Identify Finance user requirements and deliver technology solutions that effectively and efficiently solve key challenges, such as:
  • Build and design dashboards and reports as scoped by clients and internal teams that summarize vast quantities of data
  • Perform rigorous analyses on large, complex data sets and provide strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions based upon findings
  • Partner with finance analysts to help automate manual workflows and train them in tools and skills to become self-sufficient as needed Documenting key processes and architecture of new solutions Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously Prepare data-driven content and communicate insights efficiently to multiple audiences Serve as the team expert (e.
g. power user) for all data warehouse and Financial systems data Apply business acumen and previous experience to manage large-scale enterprise projects Advocate and lead proactive initiatives around data quality and accuracy Build wireframes and functional mock-ups to conceptualize dashboard design and align user requirements with technical feasibility Architect ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, and JSON to engineer robust data sources that drive high-performance dashboards and visualizations Contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on iteratively refining workflows, eliminate process redundancies and scaling existing solutions Synthesize Salesforce data to derive actionable insights regarding sales pipelines, employee compensation and their impact on financial performance Design presentation-ready visualizations and analyses tailored for high-stakes delivery to both internal leadership and external clients Deliver critical on-demand reporting specifically tailored to support high-pressure month-end close cycles and shifting project scopes Develop and maintain any internal/external documentation, processes and tools for mapping, documentation, prevention and correction data quality issues Mentors departmental peers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and providing guidance on advanced data delivery methodologies Lead and participate in large-scale projects spanning multiple business units and/or technical teams serving as the primary Finance representative to ensure technical execution mirrors strategic financial objectives Champion Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks to facilitate the iterative development and rapid deployment of high-impact, scalable solutions utilizing the Jira platform to ensure cross team collaboration and alignment Experience you will need: Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or similar education from an accredited college 5-7 years experience in Business with at least 2 years in a Business Intelligence capacity Experience in delivering technology solutions that meet business user requirements Proficiency in self-service data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) Expertise in the collection, analyzing and delivering large, multidimensional data sets using advanced analytical tools and methodologies (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.) Experience with Agile practices and product development Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization Strong stakeholder communication skills Independent, detail-oriented and execution focused Project management skills and a self-motivated approach Familiarity with BigQuery or cloud-based Big Data platforms What could set you apart: Financial Planning & Analysis Experience Tableau Certifications Familiarity with data pipelines using Composer, Dataproc or real-time processing with Cloud Dataflow Experience creating AI/ML solutions This role requires being in the office 3 days/week on Tues - Thurs.
